Abstract
The selection of the optimal strategy in learning any skill is essential to achieving the desired results. When developing any motor skill, it is necessary to use modern strategies in skill performance, especially in volleyball. The aim of the research was to identify the effect of the strategy of focusing on segmented information in learning the reception skill in volleyball.
The hypotheses of the research are:
The experimental method was used with the "two equivalent groups" design, and the sample consisted of (40) female students, with (20) students in each group.
The conclusions were as follows: The use of the strategy of focusing on segmented information had a direct and significant effect on the students' performance, which, in turn, led to the students learning the skill effectively.
The recommendations include encouraging teachers to use modern methods and strategies, moving away from rote teaching and imposing ideas on students, and instead helping them reach the information themselves in order to develop all physical skills.
