The College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad stands as a pioneering institution dedicated to advancing women's education and participation in physical education and sports in Iraq. Established to address the growing need for qualified professionals in these fields, the college has played a crucial role in shaping the landscape of women's sports education in the country.
In alignment with its commitment to academic excellence, the college founded the Modern Sport journal in 2002. This peer-reviewed publication aims to disseminate cutting-edge research in sports science, encompassing areas such as athletic training, sports psychology, biomechanics, rehabilitation, and sports management. By providing a platform for scholarly exchange, the journal seeks to promote scientific knowledge and foster advancements in the field, contributing to the development of sports science both regionally and internationally.
